First European Culture Festival of Knoxville at Market Square

Experience the vibrant spirit and rich traditions of the Old World right in the heart of Knoxville! The Center for European Cultures & Connections is bringing European music, food, and history to Market Square, and The Kraken’s Cup will be right in the middle of the fun.

Stop by our booth to enjoy free tea samples and shop a selection of our popular retail loose-leaf teas, fun tea accessories, and our famous butter cookies! We’ll also have beautiful examples of classic European teaware on display to celebrate the deep-rooted history of European teatime. Admission is free—come say hi and celebrate with us!

Looking for a literary escape without the long-term commitment? Our monthly book club is designed for the curious reader who loves a sensory experience. We pair books from various genres with a curated selection of 2 to 5 teas that either appear in the story or capture its "soul."

Oh, Jane... how wrong you were! For our August book club gathering, we are diving deep into the witty, charming, and beautifully chaotic world of Emma. 
Highbury's favorite self-appointed matchmaker might think she knows what's best for everyone else's heart, but her own story is where the real magic happens. It is a brilliant tale of gossip, misunderstandings, growth, and the ultimate comedy of manners.

Your ticket includes a fresh-baked scone with all the traditional accompaniments and a guided tasting of teas inspired by the delicious teas in this month's book.

We are a "drop-in/drop-out" club, so there’s no pressure to attend every month. However, there are only 12 seats available in the Library!

Get ready to unleash your inner artist at a paint and sip experience like no other! Whether you are a seasoned creator or picking up a brush for the first time, this event is designed to spark your imagination in a relaxing, cozy atmosphere.

Your creative journey begins when you select from a wide variety of handcrafted, pre-outlined canvases featuring an array of beautiful image options. Once you have chosen your design, you will select from an endless array of professional acrylic paints to mix your own custom palette.

Every ticket includes:

-All Art Materials: Premium paintbrushes, palettes, sponge brushes, acrylic paint markers, mechanical pencils, easels, table mats, and clean-up supplies (all materials are provided for use during the workshop and returned to the host at the conclusion of the event).
